The long wooden planks at the top and bottom serve as handles or supports, allowing the grater to be conveniently placed on a bowl or work surface.

Most of the orange surface is occupied by small rectangular stainless steel blades arranged in four rows. Pulling vegetables along these blades produces long, thin sticks.

The round, serrated holes at the bottom are for chopping garlic, ginger, or other spices.
